Pioneer Trak July 2009

Trek was quite an experience! It was about 400 people pushing handcarts for 25 miles on the border of Utah and Wyoming in July. There were so many memorable experiences for everyone and great friendships made in the little pioneer families. Being a nurse on the trek, I saw a lot of blistered feet and sunburns!! Good thing we could go home after the 4 days and rest up in our comfy beds! I know I would not have survived as a pioneer for real. But being one for a few days was a great time and I would do it again! It was awesome going on Trek with Aimee and Katie there too. They were a lot tougher than me!!

BYU Football game Sept 26 2009

Matt and Scott got to go to a BYU football game and eat for free with tickets from Coke. They were above the 40 yard line. Matt had fun with the binoculars waving to Mom and Aimee across the stadium in the regular seats way up high! It was great weather for a great day of football and of course BYU won! Matt had already been up early to play his little league game so he had a long day of football but I guess you just can't get too much football!

Snow in September 2009

The first snow of the season came Sept. 30th this week and it was cold! It only hailed and rained at my house but the mountains behind me got a good dusting of snow. My roses are liking the water but not the freeze! Fall (or is it Winter?) is here in Utah!!

Papa and Nonnie's visit to Utah July 2009

Papa and Nonnie came to visit us in Utah in July! Caroline and Susan came up from Las Vegas to visit too. We went on a picnic in Provo Canyon, visited the new Oquirrh mountain temple, and played lots of games. It was such a nice visit with them!

Pioneer Day July 2009

Spanish Fork Rodeo once again for Pioneer Day this year. Can't miss it! Grandma Muhlestein and cousins Sydnee and Cade Muhlestein went with us to the Spanish Fork fairgrounds to watch the barrel racing, bareback riding, bull riding, calf roping, steer wrestling, and of course the rodeo clowns! Matt got to wear his Texas shirt from grandma Naud. Lookin' like a cowboy! Grandma Muhlestein loved the horses and Aimee loved the cotton candy! :)

Matt's 9th birthday

Matt had a family party at home with sisters and grandma Muhlestein. He chose to go to Golden Corral to eat all the rolls he wanted for dinner! After dinner we finally let him open his presents. He got Bear cub scout hat, book, and neckerchief from grandma. He got clothes from mom. He got a rip stick and knee pads from his sisters (Jamie the ripstick master taught him to ride it in the basement all the rest of the night!). He got a BYU football poster and BYU football tickets from dad. His best friend Sam got him a racetrack that he loved. He got cards, phone calls, and birthday money from his Papa and Nonnie and grandma Naud. All in all, it was a haul! Happy Birthday Matt!!!

Playing in the Snow - January 2009 in Spanish Fork

The kids and I went to the Spanish Fork golf course to sled for awhile. Matt and his friend Sam tried jumps with their sleds and Jamie tried a snowboard. Nice day!
