Grandma's birthday party

We sure had a great time at Bettie's house yesterday. All the Muhlestein's got together for a picnic in the backyard and we had a fun time visiting and eating and playing as usual. Randee and Lynn both made rootbeer that was sooo good! Sandwiches and tons of salads and chips rounded it out. The cookies and brownies were terrific too! Kirsten made the best triple chocolate brownies! Yum! We had brownie sundaes for dessert and I think I went home about 5 pounds heavier!! The cousins all jumped on the trampoline and played with ring toss, bocce, and racket games together. I don't know if Bettie likes remembering her birthday or not but I know that she likes it when all the kids come together and have a good time. Scott got a blessing from Lynn for his hernia repair he has scheduled this week. That made me and Scott feel better about the surgery. Scott will have 6-8 weeks off from work and I know he is looking forward to that for sure.
